Future Drummer?

Elly is quite the busy little bee these days! She manages to find her way into EVERYTHING! She is mildly obsessed with the cabinets at the point in time. Opens it, pulls everything out, gets bored and moves on to the next. I bought all the cabinet locks the other day...they are safely in their box, stored safely in my junk drawer :)

"hmmm...mixing bowls and a HUGE spoon. What to do?"

"First things first, I must taste it!"

SO serious!

"They make noise! I may do this for hours!"

Sing it Elly!

2 minutes later...on to the next cabinet. ADD maybe? Nah, just a typical toddler :)

Pasta spoon? In the mouth...

Tongs? In the mouth...

Big ole' skillet? If it would fit, I'm sure it would be in the mouth!

*Beware* If you come over for dinner, my cooking utensils have probably been slightly slobbered on. I do clean them after play time, but I'm sure some find their way back in the cabinet!

Tillery Park...

...has become a favorite destination for the Roebuck clan. We load Elly up in the bike trailer, ride down and enjoy the dreamy weather (while it lasts)! As the Texas summer approaches, we take full advantage of days like today!

"Hey mom! Are you going to take pictures all afternoon or are you going to play with me!"

Future gymnast? The girl has a grip like no other! She is holding on all by herself...Kris isn't touching her!

Doooown the slide we go!

Gotta love that tongue :)
Walking with Dada. In the last couple days, she has gotten a little more brave when it comes to walking on her own. She's up to about 10 steps!
I'm SPENT! Time to ride home to catch a power nap before my friend Brent comes over!
We had our neighbor's Brent and Amanda over for dinner tonight (Elly LOOOOVES Brent!). I forgot how much I enjoy entertaining! Since Elly had been born, we really haven't had anybody over for a nice dinner. By "nice dinner" I mean setting the table...with cloth napkins! It sure did feel good to clean all the toys up, throw on a table runner and vase up some cheap spray roses. Ahhhh, the little things that make me feel like an adult :)

Batter and Beaters

This past weekend marked the start of the much anticipated bathroom remodel at the Roebuck household! Seeing that we only have ONE bathroom, baby and I needed to get the heck out of dodge while this all went down. We made our way out to Granbury to spend the weekend with Nana and Grandpa. The twins made a surprise appearance as well :) To start the Easter weekend right, my mom whipped out her 1970's mixer (I do believe it was a hand-me-down from her mom!), and we got down to business making the annual lamb cake! Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the finished product. Close your eyes and think of a sweet little edible lamb...there ya go...lamb cake :)

Had to throw in a picture of the mixer. I'm thinking a new Kitchen Aid for Christmas???

What's the best part of baking, you ask? Licking the beaters of course!

*Stay tuned for updates. I have some great pictures from our weekend. Too many for one post!
